IMO I'd personall go with something like this P-64
I just drove up to JG last weekend and bought a couple of these. They were boh in unfired condition. They are an awesome little CCW gun. Uses a 9X18 cartridge. The only thing that sucks on them is the first trigger pull. Factory is 24lbs I believe; however, wolff gun springs carries a 17lb hammer spring taking 7 lbs off the pull. IMO its' a lot of gun for the money. |

love mine
edit guess I should give more details. It's small, fits in a back pocket easy. It's heavy for what it is. The top ejection port will spit cases at you. If you lean it over like the gangsters it isn't as bad. I practice at 7yds or less and can empty the mag quickly in less than a 4" group. I've not had a FTF in the 500 rds I've shot it. It's not a primary carry. But to use for a last ditch get off me. Or light weight summer carry it's not bad. AMT has had it's share of issues and owners over the years. The new people, High Standard are easy to deal with. I ordered a few extra mags. CS was great, shipped promptly. The new mags have a plastic extension and fit ok. Draw back, other than I don't know how or if it can be broken down. I can think of one. Last edited by Never Monday; 12-16-2008 at 12:52 PM. |
