Work Request thread

Not every one is a machinist, hell some of you can barely operate a welder. Some of us own or have access to better tools and abilities.
Thats what this thread is for.
This is a "I need a XXXXX made" thread to cover what you can't do or someone can do better.
This can be trade, cash, whatever for services. You post up what you need done and the person who can do it PM's you.
Example:

Quote:
I need someone to make me a cock ring out of titanium. 2in ID 2.275 OD .75" long with a smooth radius on the edges. If you can I would like "I like big butts and I can not lie" engraved or CNC cut on the outside. I will supply the raw materials. Will trade AK mags or bondage gear for work

someone who can do it PM's you and YOU EDIT YOUR POST

Working with Scott from rockstomper on this.
Then when its done and all is good EDIT YOUR POST and thank the person.

Quote:
Thank you to Scott for the great job on my cock ring

Like I said this can be for any of the work or skills you don't have. From simple shit like having a tent sewn to CNC milling.

Please note: Take most of your conversation to PM's
Try to keep the thread clean by keeping most info to PM's

Why not 9/16 and use a 9/16 308 QD?
I can do either.

I have just received a browning high power 9mm via trade. One side is rusted. would dura coating be a way to fix this issue? If so is some one interest in doing it for me? Just black.. Ill send pictures.

I'd do something to the metal underneath first. Zinc or Manganese phosphate, then you can have it duracoated. You could just do the duracoat, but any little chip is going to leave a spot open to rust. The parkerizing will give the best surface for adhesion and provide a high level of rust protection even if the duracoat is chipped.

I do parkerizing, but not duracoating. There are some others on here though that do an excellent job.

need somebody to make a 1 piece mount preferably a 20 moa for my springfield 03a3. the guy who did the original build put a weaver 11 mount on the back and a weaver 25 on the front. both surfaces are rounded and obviously drilled wrong for standard 1 piece mounts. might also get the barrel threaded for 1/2x28

I need a raw aluminum ar lower duracoated. I'm open to what color is used and I don't want to pay much as it's a salvaged/almost destroyed 80%er so perfection isn't important.

If you can/want to do this, please PM me.

Thanks

Chris

edit: i would prefer a trade of torchmate work but will pay cash/paypal or whatever we figure out.

I don't even know if this is possible or what the cost would be.

But I am looking for someone who could machine the existing bolt knob/handle down and thread it to accept a 5/16-24 bolt knob. I could tear the bolt down and shift the bolt body (part #2 in the diagram).

Specifically this one.

Why not just weld on a piece of all thread or a bolt on it?

Park + duracoat is generally accepted as the best method of doing it. Only steel will parkerize though. I don't remember if the Hi Power uses a steel or aluminum frame, but aluminum won't park. But it can be hit with duracoat or other spray-on finishes with good results.

The duracoat will rub off of any contact or high-friction areas, such as where the slide contacts the frame.

If it's just the slide, I can do it no problem. If it's the entire gun, I'm not licensed and can't legally accept it to do the work.

I hadn't though of that. As long as it looks good and can take a man handling either would work.

looking for a leatherworker to make me a card holder. needs to be able to hold 3 cards the size of an id or credit card. don't need anything fancy just something simple and prefer something fairly thin and not much bigger then the cards as i carry them in my front pocket normally so don't want a huge bulge
