Transfer backlog today...
I went today to pick up the Mosin that I ordered from from Aim Surplus, at my local FFL and there were 268 other people in line on the atf website.....

You think you could do a review with some pics of that gun?
I have been meaning to stop in and get a Mosin from AIM, but have heard some horror stories of shot out barrels and copious amounts of rust. edit:{hope i didn't hijack}

Well I do not have it since I wasn't waiting the 4 hours for the back log to clear.. However externally it was in great shape. The bolt almost looked new, no rust anywhere, the receiver was oiled and dark no worn areas or markings.
The stock was in good shape for a rifle made in 1943.

The day I bought my AK set a record for background checks in Colorado - 1600 in one day.
 I'm used to the whole process taking about 30 - 45 minutes but that day took 3+ hours.

here in CO back ground checks are run through the CBI not FBI. There computers have been down for a couple days. I checked maybe an hour ago and they were still down. Over 1700 back ground checks in the que.
FWIW the ATF has nothing at all to do with back ground checks.
