5.7mm AR Uppers

I might have missed if this was discussed previously.

57Center.com

pretty neat idea imo

To bad the ammo is so expensive.

Anyone had a chance to play with them?
One of the wholesalers I use has a bunch, they are 650ea. Seems like a good idea given how scares uppers are.

A friend has one that runs on p90 mags. Pretty cool stuff. I put 50 through it and had a good time. Probably best suited for a lower that offers group therapy.

If you were a criminal element it's a perfect weapon... You could cut a normal AR mag in half and attach a little cloth or whatever bag to it, insert in magwell and wallah...no brass left at the crime scene LOL

x2 I love that round.

I really like the idea of the 5.7 uppers, but I'm to cheap to feed one.

It would be cool as hell as an SBR using the PPsh Mags.

I pay about .40 a round locally plus tax, FWIW.

Word is the short uppers for SBR lowers can be had cheaper and easy due to lack of demand.

That's two awesome ideas in the last few posts BTW. (the other was in the "Which .50 BMG?" thread. You may have AK issues, but maybe its just from overthinking that big brain of yours....)

I like the upper idea, and that price is great if a mag comes with it. Those 50 round mags are selling for $50 to $100.00. You can easily make a 30 round a fifty...but the tens are stuck at ten rounds due to design some how I read.

I have a PS90 and Five-seveN pistol. I do not recommend it to anyone looking at them. The ammo is hard to find and the coolness fades. I am not selling anytime soon, but would not buy again with what I know now. I pulled a 5.7 bullets the other day and its really not much different from a .223.

I'd pass if thinking of buying into the 5.7 group.

I recently shot a full auto P90. Fun little weapon. Seems like a cool upper, and it should work with a M16/FA lower.
