ID this ammo

Found this while organizing my ammo storage..

.25 Auto JHP with what looks to be yellow plastic or polymer injected into the tip. It sits almost flush with the tip, slightly concave. Anyone seen this before? Is this a factory round?

Headstamp is "R - P .25 Auto" , Remington brass.

As in a blank round? The thing on the top that looks like it would come to a point if it were not for the yellow part is a bullet. Blanks don't have bullets.

Negative. It is a live round. That is a JHP with some sort of filler

Some type of old Glaser or MagSafe ammo? Pull one out and cut the bullet apart to see if there is shot inside it.

Ok.. I think you may be on to something here

The glasers use more of a round ball shaped plug. This one sits below the top of the bullet.

I only have one of these.. not sure where it came from. I'll pull it apart here in a few minutes.

Well fawk... I guess I just ruined the collector value by digging out the plastic

It's probably still worth more than a 10,000 peso bill though...

BTW.. the yellow plastic was about 1/8" deep, with lead below it.
