This forum was started as a tech forum and it will be changed back into a tech forum.
It has gotten a little out of hand with the chit-chat style crap that has invaded here. I too am guilty of it and now it is time for it to end.

If a thread contains no tech it will be removed.
If a thread evolves into a bullshit chit-chat thread it will get removed.
No more EOTHWAWKI/SHTF threads unless they actually contain some tech.
No more linking or reference to other forums with the point of a board war or other bullshit.

I mean this is pirate so the usual making fun of and random insults of products and companies is allowed..as always

if your thread is locked or gone by morning do not be offended, just start the thread in chit-chat. I mean for fuck sake we are ALL in chit chat

And try to avoid answering gun/outdoor questions from idiots IN chit chat. direct them here or ask a chit-chat mod to move the thread.

Tech is tech, even if its a gun.

But seriously, the shit has gotten out of hand. Treat here like you would any other tech forum on pirate.

So does tech include asking about guns (ie opinions that might result in tech) or does it have to specifically be about the internal workings of guns, powder loads, ballistic charactieristics or larue?

Well fawk, here I thought we had our own little like minded community of folks in the OSR that could shoot the shit about guns, survival, outdoorsey shit and call this place home. We look out for each other with deals, tips, showing off, etc, kinda like our own lil shitshat section. We may stray a bit from pure tech from time to time, but even when we do it's fun and sometimes a learning experience for anyone who wanders in.

Lets get down to the brass tacks, the lapoo shit has gotten out of hand, and that part should stop. It was fun for a while, but we all know we think the same about him, so let it rest. Just about everything else fits.

Lets not thow our the baby with the bathwater here.

While most of us do post in shitshat, we fit in here better, and get along with the folks here better, so we visit it a lot more. Lets keep the good part of our lil community, and just cut out what we can all agree is overplayed and annoying. If it's getting linked to other boards, it's probably over the line.
