McDonald's looks like its a NO to open carry: http://www.shootingillustrated.com/f...showentry=1127
I sent an e-mail to corporate to get an official opinion. The weird corporate reply:Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald's. We appreciate and welcome this opportunity to share some information about our giving philosophy with you. Children are at the heart of every community and, therefore, are the focus of McDonald's contributions. Our grants are targeted to special projects for children in the areas of health, education, sports and recreation, safety, employment, culture, and programs for the disabled. We serve nearly 50 million people every day that represent a broad range of interests. For this reason, we do not fund programs that involve controversial issues in which many people, including our customers, employees and shareholders, may have deeply held, differing opinions, such as gun control. Again, thank you for sharing your comments with us. Your trust and satisfaction in McDonald's are important to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again soon under the Golden Arches. If you open carried at the TexasBBQRub facility, dad would probably want to go out in the back acre and fire a couple rounds to try out your shit.
![]() On another note. My dad's lab DOES NOT like guns at the bbq rub house. It's fucking weird. He's perfectly fine when we're at the ranch. If I bring any gun into the rub place, his lab acts all fucked up and will run to dad like he's scared. Doesn't matter if he sees them or not. I guess he can smell the gun powder. Even if they're not loaded, he can somehow sense them. Think it happend cause one time I fired off a round in the back acre and his lab got scared

How are you guys coming up with some kind of list that is useful on a national level?
Here in TN, there are *very* specific state laws that a business has to follow if they want to "post" that guns are not allowed on their property. One of these: ![]() Does not mean SQUAT here in Tennessee, unless is is accompanied by this: Quote:

THE SILVER STATE (Nevada0 Has very liberal open carry laws most businesses allow O.C. minus the casinos, and most bars, I'll have to look into it around here and I'll post back after some findings to make sure.

It does in North Carolina, unfortunately. But at least we can OC here. Most hospitals and Doctor's offices are no-carry (where I spend most of my time).

Texas is a SHALL issue state.. if you apply, and you have nothing in your background that would prevent it.. you WILL be issued a license.. however, the numbers are surprisingly low.. As of March 17, 2009 it was 327,560. with about 12,700 new licenses a month. (source) So you can estimate that Texas is at about 479,000 right now....
