Underwater Hunting
Getting ready for some underwater hunting
![]() My new 3 piece travel sling spear by JBL...Tube shaft is roughly 3/4" in diameter which should be nice for maintaining grip in the cold water with gloves (I have had issues in the past with the thinner ones). I also like the fact that it is 3 piece...the middle piece becomes optional so you can run it shorter if you choose. ![]() Penetrate Tip ![]() Paralyzer ![]() My next purchase is going to be one of these from Mako...freaking SICK wetsuits. ![]()

Can you make the pics a little bigger? I can't see all the strand detail in your carpet fuzz

What he said.
I've got the the Mako Predator rail gun 110cm w/ 2 16mm bands. With one band, it's great for smaller fish, maybe up to 40lbs. With both, it's a cannon! The accuracy is wicked, and the range is overkill for me but nice to have. I've got thier floatline, weight belt and booties too. The owner is an cool guy and will work with you to get you what you need for the conditions your operating in. I hunted with several dudes with slings and they lost 2-3 fish for everyone they got. Especially with that paralyzer tip! A slip tip seemed to work much better. But, we were rookies so what do I know!

I have a paralyzer tip like that, it blows ass. I machined sweat fit barbs for it like five years ago, it worked much better after that. Not even sure I could find it for pics at the moment.

Huh....I have never had a problem taking fish with a paralyzer. Obviously it isn't meant for huge game fish but when you are working a reef system they tend to work quite well.

BRINGIT!
I use a shorty little RIffe Competitor 0S........ short little gun for hole hunting. amazing-strong with 2 5/8" bands, but it's made for 3. using 3 bands on this gun is like shooting a 44mag..... super strong, shots out to maybe 12-15 feet.......... put a reel on it, and use it for hali's too. Big blue water its not...... that's for the Islander. ROckkiller: when are we going AB hunting again-???? I hope your finger healed properly! --Sherpa.... Scott
