Soft gun case
I am in the market for a decent soft gun case and/or rifle carrying backpack. There are several different types on ebay right now. I have been close to ordering a Voodoo Tactical case but realized it doesnt have the webbing straps sewn the way I want them. The majority of the cases dont. I am looking for the webbing to go left to right when carried on the back so the attachments will be upright and not open sideways. I tend to carry a lot of stuff with me when I go on walkabout with a rifle or hunting during season. I wouldnt mind having one of those backpacks that have the rifle pocket either.
Anyone have either of these? Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

5.11. Voodoo is junk. Blackhawk makes a nice one but it's made by the same company that makes TacOps and they are 1/2 the price.

I have been fairly happy with Voodoo stuff but like I said, I dont like the way the webbing is on the outside so it is a deal killer. What about Erblestock(something like that)? I have a pro account with them but they are pricey.

Guessing here, but I would expect the seams to pull and the zippers to quickly 'asplode on the Voodoo given what Chris said.
When I buy cheap (my $39 Midway super-humongous range bag is a good example) and use it constantly, the thing eventually just comes apart seam by seam.

I've got the Voodoo 2 rifle soft case. So far I'm very happy with it. Seems to be solidly built, tons of room, easy to organize. Straps inside for rifles could be better, using an old towel keeps em from moving around and always comes in handy. For the price, I don't think it can be beat.
edit: Just for shits and grins I took the old towel out to see how much things would move around without it. Loaded the bag down with 3 rifles, threw it on my back like a back pack and jumped around a bit. Nothing moved, didn't hear any banging around, no dings to the rifles. Being able to carry this much in a back pack makes getting out to the range a lot easier, especially if you are taking a bunch of different guns to play with. ![]() ![]() ![]() Just be careful how much crap you throw in it, there's enough room you can make it real heavy real quick.

ok besides Voodoo, since they do NOT have the MOLLE straps going the "correct" way.
chris- I sent you a PM. these cases have the webbing going the way I am looking for, but I question their quality. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

If you don't find what you are looking for, you might want to hit up one of the gearmakers here to see what they could do for you.
