Long Island Fishing with Dad
I had the opportunity to go up to Long Island this week. Went out fishing with Dad and a family friend for the gamey Stripers. The last time I was up there we didn't catch shit - so I didn't have high hopes despite the fact that pop insisted that he had it dialed in... whatever. I was also informed that I shouldn't hold my breath because Florida fish can be caught by any moron... and that New York fish are, on average, 15X smarter than the ones that we have back home....
Anyway - Dad was right....he has a pretty cool program. Got out about 6pm or so and proceeded to get some run off's.... Dad won money for first, most, biggest. He ended up with a 37" and a 34". I got a 36". Dean (friend) got a small shark. I miss being able to fish with my pop on a regular baisis.... this was really some well spent time.
