I blew up a ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag with a light load...
Seriously, I did and Ruger fixed it for free even though I told them I used the wrong powder.

He had a thread with the details from when it happened. I think his hand was fine other than some minor cuts/scrapes.
In my mind, if a gun blows up like that and you walk away with very trivial injuries, then that is actually a testament to the gun being very well built.
