Saiga 12 M4 buttstock adapter

Just converted my new S12, went with Ace receiver block and M4 buttstock adapter.

The buttstock adapter is the "pignose" and only uses 2 Allen head screws to hold it on, then the stock screws in as normal. I loctited it, but still doesn't seem the strongest setup. Anybody used one of these for a while and have anything to say, good or bad about em?

I think the internal block is strong, but would prefer a weld on rear plate......may do that before its over on #2. #1 is rock solid with a welded on rear plate.

Re-read your post. That rear ACE mount will be solid.

Well as a bit of a test I just went out and ran 75 rounds of 3" buckshot out of it. Stock didn't loosen up one bit. However after the very first round, my supposedly great Surefire mag broke into 3 pieces and rounds fell everywhere. This is the first time I used it. (basically the lips broke off, and front latch). However both my Promags worked great as did the stock Russian. So, Carolina will be getting the Surefire delivered back to them this week.

Stock adapter seems tough though. Might try the folding adapter out.

Well, my bad then. I still am going to try and get it replaced. Nowhere on Carolina did it say I couldn't. I'll tell em exactly what happened, if they don't replace it, so be it. I'm not that kinda guy.

I might paint it (the gun). Thinking dark od green with black accents. Not sure though. This thing is quickly becoming my favorite gun.

I have at least 6 agps, they all run fine. I find myself running the oem 5 rounders a lot, they are quite a bit handier than the 10s.

CSS is tops in the S12 supply world in my book. I like my two 8 round AGP's tons better than the Surefires. The AGP's have some metal in them. I have shot lots of 3" through the AGP's. Guess I won't for the Surefires.

Agreed. I find the 8's handier and AGP seems better built than the Surefire's.

So, I went back to the website... if these aren't for 3" shells, they probably shouldn't picture them with 3" shells loaded... (blue guys)

Haha. I just finished my third cup, that's why I posted it.

Carolina said to contact SGM, they don't handle warranty stuff. Good enough I guess.

Its no wonder mags break... Check out the Mag moving in this slow motion vid. The empty case look like low brass so I would GUESS 2-3/4 target/game loads....
