I understand the idea between having a caliber between 556 and 762, but damn thats still just way too expensive. Can't say ill be drinking the grendel kool-aide.

Isn't the wolf steel case and steel core? If so, non reloadable and most ranges tell you to fawk off.

It's also somewhat of an intermediate case head diameter--so it's not like there is a ton of brass out there for it to fire form or neck down.

Anyone ever find any brass, boxer-primed 7.62x39 cases and try to neck them down?

458 socom uses the same lower, and the same mags as a .223. As far as I know the only thing you need is the barrel and BCG to convert it.
