Anybody tried this holster?
I was just wondering if anybody has tried these specific holsters?
http://www.fobusholster.com/catalog/...ters-56-1.html ![]() It is a Fobus Tactical holster. I know Fobus makes decent stuff, although I would probably go with the belt holster over the paddle. What I am after is a LEFT HANDED holster that I can carry my M&P45 full size with Insight XTI Procyon light attached. I don't want to hear about your philosophy on weapon lights. I like it, and it works for me. Period. I want this Raven holster really bad, and I like it better because it doesn't leave the light exposed. http://www.ravenconcealmentsystems.c...oducts_id=1576 The activation switches for the Procyon and WX150 (upgraded version) are independent of one another, and mounted on the side. I am concerned about one of the switches getting flipped by accident. ![]() The one thing that worries me is the lack of secondary retention (I.E. thumb break, trigger guard latch, etc). I know that Kydex holsters place enough tension on the gun to keep it from "jumping out", but I don't want somebody to be able to take my gun off of me that easily either. The reality is, in my (hopefully) future line of work/volunteer time, that is of significant importance.

YEEEAAAHHH, I am pretty much decided on the Raven. I can OWB/IWB with it, and they have good reviews online. I never really liked Fobus, so... Fuck that Fobus. Raven holster as listed above, one of their double mag pouches, and a BLACKHAWK! 1.75" wide Instructors Gun Belt. The belt has kydex stiffeners in it. I am not really a fan of leather belts.

That's like $5 of Kydex--literally. ![]() All you need is an oven and a heat gun. The grommets can be bought in a kit at the fabric store for another $5-7.

I have a Fobus and wouldn't buy another. I also have a Bladetech and would definitely recommend them. The Raven is also an excellent choice as is CompTac. I carry a gun for a living and I don't like to trust my life to sub par gear.
