Axial Wraith
So I want to buy a wraith, most likely new. But pm me if you have a sweet deal I should know about. But my question is which one or price of the best one for the buck. This is for me who has no other parts or electronics. So I'd need every thing to make it run. And I think I'd be wanting to go with brushless and lipo systems. I'm wanting to get an idea of how much $$ and where to spend it for the most benifit. I'd rather not buy things twice if I can avoid it, like motors and esc's, batteries and chargers. I'd like to just be schooled about this and get my ducks in a row before I take the plunge. The one thing I do know is I want a Wraith. Thanks for your time.

The HR dig is also shit and completely unneeded for him. Get batteries from hobbypartz.com for a better quality, eBay is sketchy at best for batteries. STRC linkage is a joke and requires extra parts to function. If you are going to upgrade that it needs to be Vanquish. At that point VP hubs and knuckles are going to be about $100 and are an improved design. Get a good ESC, Mamba Max Pro and a sensored brushless motor, Tekin 13.5 is a good choice.

Thanks
So most of the running gear can handle the brushless and lipo power. That's nice, front digs don't do it for me. Maybe later, but for now I'm liking Harleys wraith and how it seams to be a blast to drive. I used to run a rc10T back in the day, but now it's all changed. The motors and batteries are so much more, and less expensive. What happened? Better technology? Or china kicked in? Either way it seems all the batteries and motors, esc's are different with more run time and more power. Thanks for the input. Oh is there different wraith kits?

I just picked up the wrath this weekend. Looking forward to the doing a few upgrades myself. I've been out of the rc scene for 15 years. Bought a venom 5000 lipo. Batt. Question how far down avoid I run the battery before recharging it?

Also, I have the EOS0606i charger. When the battery has complete charge cycle should I disconnect or can I leave it plugged in. Does it turn it's self off at some point? I was told an hour . Thanks for any input.

Which lipo do you have (2s, 3s, 4s, etc)? The Hyperion is a great charger. Have you been balancing the lipos as you've been charging them? If you do, it will beep when it's done and will show progress as a percentage.

The reason it only took 20 min the first time is because they come from the factory with a partial charge. At 50% charge must be applied to the battery before storing it for any period of time for more than a couple days if you want the life of the battery to be long and reliable.
What ESC do you have and has it been setup for lipo cutoff? Is it the stock Wraith ESC? I believe that ESC has lipo cutoff built in but look at your manual.
