Has anyone ever seen a second gen Toyota pickup (or first gen 4Runner) model or RC body? All I've ever seen are the first and third gen models (brown one and green one in this picture).

Nope, that is a second gen 4Runner which = third gen pickup - like the green pickup in the photo.

Thanks, the XJ model is from Germany, Stefan has recreated the XJ in 10th scale perfectly
http://scaleoffroad.com/ He sells it a couple of different ways, I got my chassis assembled but got the body as the kit and had to assemble/paint/detail etc. Here is the latest rig I am working on

You are absolutely correct. Reason being is that the lower link usually mounts on top of the knuckles, but since I wanted to have the steering stabilizer I had I have to run it on the bottom of the knuckles... So now you have a larger gap between the linkages. Compromise one thing to gain another...o well.
