Buying Advice
Im getting my 6yr old an Axial RTR for xmas and I decided I needed a crawler myself.I just cant decide if I should buy myself an RTR or the ARTR.I was thinking if I also got the RTR it would give me a bunch of spare parts if he starts breaking stuff.I plan to mod mine to a comp rig anyways.Any thoughts?

Yeah. Get the ARTR... it has some "factory" upgrades in it already that you would probably end up buying down the road.
The only downside with the ARTR is that you need to buy all the electronics. |

I'd go with the ARTR, like everybody else suggested. The RTR would probably be good for your kid and then replace parts that get borken with good aftermarket parts.
If you can wait until the beginning of next year, Losi is coming out with a new 2.2 rig that looks to be better than anything Axial has....

If you could I'd wait for the losi. IF You don't want to wait get the artr & get good electronics for it. It'll be ok to start. I've been running an ax10 for a little over a year going to monthly comps-the only axial parts left on it are the axles trans & shocks
. It looks like the losi will come with good links geometry tight turning dig option included good tires esc with a drag brake probably not necessary
