Fresh Start questions

I'm just getting into this hobby. Cant decide between a Berg or Ax10(kit or ARTR). Would a Berg be better in the long run as far as possibly not having to upgrade as much? Aftermarket parts are expensive. What crawls better? Or are there better options for 2.2 crawlers?

You cannot go wrong with the new Losi crawler. any out of the box car will need to be upgraded to compete with and there are parts out there for all of them. best thing to do is go to comps a lot of guys will let you run their cars and check them out

as cool as the losi may be it is not gonna out perform a berg.. I also find it highly unlikely that it will take the beating a berg will take.. that and worm gear axles still have to prove themselves time will tell..

I was going to get a ax-10 to start but after watching all my buddys pretty much upgrade the whole thing I bought used berg diffs, a kamikaze kustoms chassis and all the other goodies. All I need now is some berg offset aluminum rims

I bought a ARTR kit on 12/8. I love it. I have done plenty of upgrades to it.

Seems like the Bergs are more forgivin when you make a mistake. They are great crawlers too!

I am going to pick up a new LOSI when they come out in Feb.

no one knows there not out yet... and you can never trust the testers.. way I see it they should hold up about as good as a axial, so they wont hold a candle to what a berg can take right out of the box..

I've got a used berg for sale if you are interested. It has been through one comp. Tx and Rx not included, but everything else is there. Let me know if you would like to see any pics.
