My 4600 NiMh will charge to over 5000. It's not uncommon for the cells to attain more capacity than is stated by the mfr. Back in the day, I used to get 2200+ out of some 1800 NiCad cells when I'd charge them w/ my Tekin BC112C.

a Lipo should not be taking that much charge, a lipo is nothing like NIMH or NICAD, if you are getting that much over on the charge something is wrong with either the charger or you have a mislabeled battery, or the cells were totally drained not a good thing either..
typically when charging lipos you never reach the full MAH anyway, because the cells should never be fully discharged .. |

10% +/- on a lipo in its first couple charges if you totally drain the pack is not unheard of and common. Just keep an eye on the pack for puffing.
