Do you have stiffer coils on one side of the chassis? it looks like there coil'd tighter on the passenger side. Torque twist elimination?

A little tuning and you would have a great crawler. Any reason your front shocks are on upside down?

yes its fliped (motor on the other side )
but the gears are still in the back
you have to pull the tranny apart and switch the in put shaft (were the spur gear goes)
its pretty stright forward

That's cool, never heard of that being done before. I have an R2 dig trans though. Don't think that would work right. Or maybe?

I'm really new to this rc crawler stuff. How would mirroring the tranny help? You are still twisting a drive shaft to transmit power. The action of turning that shaft will have its effects on the chassis no matter where you spin it from.

I must be missing something. How does it alleviate some of the twist?

A lower ratio in the diff - now that could eliminate some of the strain required to spin the shaft eliminating some of the twist. Too bad they're not available.

You've got a bad ass rig there. I have the RR as well and I've only made it to the fabbing up some decent links stage. Where did you get that belly pan?

flipping the trans will put the weight of the motor toward the front of the center line. This helps in steep climbs. Running the shocks upside down is common but, stock axials will leak horribly though.

Drop that battery down off the top, there are several trays available to replace the front servo mount and hold your battery. It will be the single best thing you can do to improve the truck.

You have a great start, keep crawling!

i got the belly pan at a local hobby shop but if you go to
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...AdvancedSearch
there is also a ton of shit at rccrawler.com

edit RCjetboat hit the nail on the head i transfers the weight of the motor to the side that needs it
