I've been talking with John at Fubar Crawlers for the past couple of months about fabricating a wheelbase/track width/body width/body height template for use at my club's 1.9 and 2.2 comps. I got a package in the mail today from him and this is what was in it:

I used my Losi 1.9 to demonstrate some of it's features

Wheelbase is set to maximum of 8.5" for 1.9 on the template

Track width is set to maximum of 8" for 1.9 on the template

Body length is set to maximum of 9" for 1.9

It also has settings for measuring body height and body width.

The template also has settings to measure all of the above for 2.2 class and has a marked 15 inch ruler on the reverse side.

Aside from using it to tech rigs at comps, it's also useful when building your crawler, to keep everything legal for your class.

John said the template should be available for purchase on his Fubar Crawlers website in the near future.

All in all, he did an excellent job

those ones are nice.. does he have a price in mind yet?? only downside I could see is if rules change but hey I guess that stuff happens..

I don't imagine the final price will be much different from what I paid. With that said, I'll wait to see what he wants to charge for them.
I really don't see the rules changing in the near future. I waited for the final decision on the new 1.9 rules before I approached him to make these.
