How to get son to stop playing with my R/C Car?

Ive explained to him several times that it is not a toy and needs to be treated with respect but he just doesnt get the message. I caught him picking it up and rolling it around on the kitchen floor the other day and finally had to whip his ass. I thought that would do it as it usually does but sure enough yesterday I saw him standing 2 feet from it on the mantle and staring at it so I had to spank him again.

how can I get through to this hard headed boy that this is an expensive machine and NOT a toy?

Actually it means exactly that buddy. This car is for competitive races. it is an expensive and sensitive piece of equipment and definitely too dangerous for a 2 year old to be messing with, much less have one bought for him.

Oh, I think it's perfectly acceptable to beat your son for playing with your toy car, and certainly you should beat him again for even looking at it. If you keep the beatings properly frequent and severe, perhaps your son will lose all interest in toy cars and pick up another interest...maybe torturing cats or dressing up in your wife's clothes. Under no circumstances should you encourage his interest in something that you enjoy doing.

I have over $4000 in cars and I let my little man (just turned 3) play with them all the time. I built him a badass little crawler for him to drive. Loosen the slipper up and he can't ever hurt it.

They are toys and if you can't enjoy them with with your son. Than whats the point?

I can see spanking them for getting too close to a wood stove, or for running toward a moving vehicle. I'm not opposed to spanking--if it works for your children. For some lessons, you need to make an immediate impression.

Punishment for children is because they deserve it, not because the parent loses control or has the sudden urge to do it. If he touches it, can you wait 10 minutes before handing out the punishment? There is your answer.
