Rally Recovery Gear
We are going to be releasing a rally oriented recovery kit soon. It will include a kinetic recovery rope with quick connections and a bag. All in all it will weigh under 10 lbs and be easy to tie down in your vehicle. The cost would be somewhere right around $100.
Does this sound like something you guys would be interested in? -Alex

Id indeed be interested in a good rally recovery kit. What is the length of the rope? What is the size of the quick connectors? I ask on the size of them due to the recovery points on a rally car very depending on the car and build. All my points take a 3/8 to 1/2" hook. There are a few cars that take smaller.
Post this up on Dirtyimpreza.com or specialstage.com as well. You may get quite afew more sales from those sites

The rope we were intending to use was a 20 footer, we can use a 30 footer if that will be more along the lines of what the rally guys use. For hooks we are using a 5/16ths sling hook (rated to 22,000 lbs).

Whats the likelihood of getting this kit in some sort of a hard case as opposed to a soft bag? I think I may speak for a good chunk of us here. When at all possible, I prefer having something solid and ridged to secure in the trunk of the car. When off's happen in rally, they can be violent to say the least. I like to know that what I bolt down has no chance of shifting around or coming loose.

No need to be as substantial as a pelican case. More like the plastic case for the spare tire equipment in a chevy.
![]() Just something easy to secure and rigidly bolt down.

Perhaps look at offering a complete recovery kit to include the spill kit (oil zorb, plastic bag etc)
the plastic case is a good idea, but small cloth type tool bag would also work.

Just wanted to share that we recently received the new "Alex Special" MASTER PULL Rally Recovery gear for use in our FIA homologated Pug in the Americas and in Europe, as well as the M4000 kit that we plan on using for our Jeep Speed/Ultra rig, and our classic 1972 show truck.
Pictured here in the black colored bag is the famous M4000 kit and the new Rally Recovery kit in the red bag. Weight is very important in an FIA rally event since you get checked everytime you drive back into Parc Ferme. So lightweight gear is a must. Our rally car is limited in space and we prefer to carry only what we need. Alex of Master Pull put together this cool new recovery kit for our homologated rally car. Here is a pic of where we will be strapping in securely this bag containing the recovery gear. The recovery bag contains the following part numbers TRW034020 - MP Super Yanker White 3/4" x 20' 19,000lbs. Kinetic tow rope. S02200 - MP 5/16" Heavy Duty Sling with hooks w/ safety latch for 22,000 lbs on both ends. Cool Accessories Red Bag 17x7x9 that fits great in our rally car The hooks work great with our FIA approved recovery links located on the front and rear of the Peugoet 206XS. Video footage coming soon of how we strapped in the bag and how easy it is to get the gear and how to use it. Thanx again Masterpull for developing this unique and high quality recovery gear. Gracias Alex for inventing this for our rally needs. For more info please contact www.MasterPull.com
