RallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the Sports Car Club of America, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to powerslide your way to victory. Imagine a scaled down version of a rally stage laid out on a non-paved plot of land where the course is delineated by traffic cones instead of trees or rocks. The entry fees and equipment requirements are considerably less than those necessary to enter any other forms of performance rally, so in most locations one need only arrive at event registration with a sound, hardtop vehicle and the entry fee. Many SCCA Regions have helmets to loan and will assist the first time competitor with entering the appropriate class, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course. Best of all, it's great fun!

Yeah but thats the 2009 races. I haven't found anything for 2010/11 yet. Is there a lot of events back there in the southeast, I really fawking hope so, because I'm from TN, and I'll be coming back home for good in a year.

TN Valley did one last year.
Atlanta Region used to have an excellent rally program, 6-8 events a year. Ran the fire roads in the Chattahoochee and Oconee Nat Forrest. It fell apart from lack of interest.

At least contact SD Region office and tell them you are interested.

I attended a Rallycross put on by the San Diego Club Racing Series back in September. SDCR is a fairly new series, very low key, and anyone with a car and helmet can join. It was my first Rallycross and i had a blast. I was driving a Diesel 123 and managed to be somewhat competitive. Hopefully they will hold another event soon!

For all your European Rallycross video needs: http://www.rallycrosstube.com/

You have to sign up for longer videos but there's some great videos on there, particularly the classic stuff, Grp B monsters back in the 80's....
