I'm in San Diego, Ca right now. Rally scene is ok. Lots of canyon runs to practice Tarmac rally, some desert and gravel to practice dirt shit. Some rally-x, auto-x, and gymkahana competitions, with a small group of Stage rally comps here and there. I am ready to get back to TN, where there are all kinds of fields and dirt roads to practice on. I love logging roads......

Reno Nevada. Plenty of fast dirt roads out here. Lots of fun tarmac as well, but the highway patroll is not friendly to "spirited" driving. We have a hill climb events and great tarmac rallys such as Nevada Open Road and Silver State classic.

There is a larger boy racer crowd out here than actual racing following. Californa Rally Assoc has events out here as well as Nasa rally sport and Rally America.

No rally-x though or gymkahana

Well it sounds like the closest sanctioned event(for me) would be prairie city
and that's 260 miles south. We use to have an autox at the Mt.Shasta ski park
(10 minutes away) but that event was permanently shut down because of insurance reasons so I'm told!

We have the Oregon Trail Rally start and finish right near the house (Hillsboro, Oregon), and it covers every aspect a rally should minus the snow. At the fair grounds the OT rally starts there are usually short course rally events throughout the year.

Loads of fun driving to the grocery store, and rally cars galore rolling all around town.

Seems like Oregon has a pretty big following for rally; shit, Perrin is right around the corner from the house, and PIAA is just 30 minutes away!
