Need Info
Making plans and reservations for the 2012 Jeepers Jamboree. The info I need is when you have completed the trail we need to return to Placerville to pick up our tow rig. What is the best route? I am guesing going north to I80 is the best? My rig is not that highway friendly 6omph is possible. Any info like how far etc would be greatly appreciated. I did a search but gave up. Thanks in advance

Head South on 89 into Tahoe and hit 50 West to Icehouse Road if you parked near the trail head. If your tow rig is in Georgetown area, instead of Icehouse, take 49 toward Cool/Auburn then make a right on 193. There is no need to go to Hwy 80. There will be so many people there, I wouldn't sweat it too much, especially if you have a ham radio. Some, including myself, will be doing the trail backwards toward Loon again. Looking forward to seeing you there. If you haven't made your reservations yet, I'd suggest you do so quickly. Sounds like it is filling up very quickly.
As far as time, not including air up, looking at 1 1/2 hours or so back to Georgetown. 2 hours tops, but most of it isn't high speed freeway or anytning. 60 MPH won't be hit for many parts of it!
