Not sure what will work to cover the concrete. (ideas) plywood/chip board?
Traffic going down hill should not be a huge issue, but traffic going up hill is! I've watched as people go slow get there front tires half way up and spin the rear tires. People will need to take those spots with some speed to get over the concrete and not spin there tires.
we have ready mix quickrete I think is the brand ane yes mixing it in buckets back and forth

Thanks for bringing those bags down Jon. I saw you guys go by but didn't get a chance to talk with you. A buddy of mine spoke with someone from your club and told me that you stepped up and brought some down.
Thanks again.

almost the Final Reminder on work weekend

Hello All,

Things are shaping up:

0- bring water and Hydrate often you will be in the sun bring gloves shovels pry bars general hand tools
also bring some food for lunch and snack on

1- I'm waiting to here from Kevin Arnolds group he will let me know where the water equipment is and also how
much cement we will have to carry in, so we should only have too set up the water pump that was loaned to
us from Scott J along with 700-900 feet of hose.
When I get word from Kevin I will post up about concrete and the plan to get it there.

2- Crew Leaders: morning meeting/ sign in will take place at Dirty Dozen at 7:30-8:00am

-Tim Greene will be the leader on Morris

-Gary Lefler will be the crew leader on the 180 turn

- We will have 3 rigs pulling rock trailers, we can organize a bit better up there. we should need 3-4 loads

- We will have traffic control on both ends ( we will have to set up comms in between all of us)

- I want to mention that I have been talking to allot of folks here please do not be bashfull up there I sometimes
cannot remember names and all that please speak up and do not take offense if it takes me asecond or two to
have it register in my brain

- If for some reason we can give attention to another spot while we are there lets do it.

- I will have buckets with me for cement

3- The Rockheads will have Chili Verde, beans, salad, I do not know if they need a little help getting it in there
yet if Dale does I'm sure he will speak up I believe this is the furthest spot in the trail that they had to feed us

4- I want to make this as fun as possible it would be great to be wrapped up buy 2:00pm the river will be calling us at Dinner we will have a debriefing session of sorts

any thoughts or comments ?

I'm going in from Tahoma @ 14:00 on Friday with Gary Lefler and other Hi-Lo's. I can bring in 15, and I'll call Gary to see if we can get a couple more trailers.

I just got off the phone with Gary, and between our two trailers we can bring in the remaining 25 bags tomorrow. Do we drop them off again at Morris rock or elsewhere?

Please try and pass the word the trail will be closed for a bit maybe 2 hours on Saturday to allow for concrete to dry a little

we should have a great time up there

The Rubicon Rockheads will have a great meal for us Saturday night!

Looks like we will be able to tackle a couple of different area's one is Morris Rock and the hair pin / 180 turn.

To recap:

The sad news is that there will be no rock pile above Morris rock, the county line on this trail has to be dealt with we will be getting rock from within the easement above Morris Rock, we can go into the springs and get rock from the stock pile but I think it is to far and who wants to haul rock up hill, we can also grab it below the trail where it has rolled off, We can figure it out but with Talking to Tim G, on Saturday it might only take 4 trailers or so

-Kevin Arnolds group will be up there this Tuesday and Wednesday working on V-Rock and the notch Below V-rock

-Tim Greene will be the crew leader on Morris Rock

I will have a report of how much cement is left to haul in on Thursday, there have been multiple folks bring in cement over the last 2 weeks, we started out at 100 sacks. I will post up more info Thursday about how many sacks are left

Jim Cutsinger (my father in law) Myself and Matt Farley will have the 3 RTF Trailers up there. we are going to be filling them up also.

Friday I will be also drilling and setting in rebar so its ready to go on Saturday

Saturday morning briefing will take place at Dirty Dozen Camp at 7:30 am I will brief everyone with what is going on then we split up into teams and take off I hope to wrap up work buy 1:00-2:00pm +/- so we have some time left to sit in the river and discuss current politics I'm thinking Saturday night chow will be at about 6:00 or so

Also there is a rumor about a raffle or give away during dinner we will see what happens.

The list is as follows:
Rusty F.
Jim C.
Bob R.
Sean R.
Ken H. + 4 more
Scott M.
Gary L.
Rod M.
Tim Greene + 2 boys
Brian B.
Dave S.
Tim W.
Pat M.
Kevin C.
Craig E.

about 20 so far + the Rockheads

Please let us know if youa re making it or not so we can have food for you

Also bring gloves, bug repellent, small hand tools bars, shovels, eye protection, etc. ect.

Any thoughts lets get the hammered out in the next couple of days

Thank you

If your still taking a head count please add Rubicon Moon (SLT) x 3 rigs & 3 heads.....

Thanks to every one who came out this weekend the crew's did great. The boys up at morris rock kicked some major @$$. The younger boys did an awesome job big thanks to them and hats off to our crew lead up there he really kept the rock rolling. But good work every one the tree crew had some good engineering going on to move those logs.

It was a lot of work, but this will help with erosion in that area for some time.

On the way out a few got stuck near the water bar on upper Cadillac, so Brian and I took a bit time to rework that to get all the water off the trail.

At Morris we dump 10 trailer loads of rock and mixed 64 bags of concrete.
Built 2 gabions on each side. extended the apron about 10 feet.
