A few before and afters:
![]() ![]() Before: Rusty did an awesome job on pre drilling and epoxying some of the rebar in on Friday on his way in. Really saved us some time on Saturday Morning. ![]() After a hard days work and sixty four bags of concrete. Happy crew. There was a lot more people out there but a lot of them had made there way on down to the springs by the time we got the camera out. ![]() View from the top looking down on Sunday Morning.:smoking: This was an awesome work party to be part of. I for one always find this so rewarding to be able to look back and know that a necessary trail repair has been completed and should last possibly another 10-20 years. Thanks so much to everyone that came out and made this happen. Without this kind of outpouring of help and commitment these things just wouldn't happen. Thanks to the Rockheads as always for the awesome food (The Chile Verde just rocked). Thanks to the HiLo's for showing up and doing their part, you guys rocked the Concrete bucket mixing station. Thanks to RTF for the raffle and more importantly the Trailers, those things are built like tanks and work absolutely fantastic. Also thanks to every one that was patient while we waited for the concrete to set up. I heard that Shannon and Lisa did a fine job of traffic control at observation point. They informed me that everybody they spoke with was understanding and willing to wait a while. We even had a young couple that made the trip all the way from New York to see the trail, awesome couple. They spent the night with us and were even able to come home with some RTF and FOTR swag. They have an awesome story to tell. Thanks again to all, More pictures to come after I take a nap ![]() Tim.

A few more pics:
![]() New RTF trailers in action, great tool for moving rock ![]() ![]() Mixing concrete in buckets, Oh the joy ![]() ![]() A comment was made by a certain someone (Hower) about the epoxy applicator. ![]() ![]() During a short ten minute break we noticed one individual has no quit in him. That would be Steven "I don't quit" Culp. That is one hard working dude. Thanks Steven, you rocked it! ![]() That's right I said "More Concrete" ![]() ![]() And almost as if it was meant to be, we ran into Steve Morris on our way out on Sunday. I joked with Steve after helping run a quick cable for him. Asked him where in the hell he was while we were working on his rock....lol. Hope I am in as great shape as Steve when I'm his age and still rocking the trail. Awesome to see him in his '70 CJ5 pulling a Jeep trailer....that dude just rocks!!! Couple more pics of the finished product while it cured, along with Rusty's sign-works we left up for the next day. This section of trail has had concrete on it for decades, and about every 5-10 years, it needs touch-up. FOTR worked with El Dorado County to get it done this year, and hopefully it will last ahead into the 2020s.
