CDF Doing an Awesome Job

While I was at the Jeepers Jamboree on the Sunday after the fire...I climbed the hill with my Uncle to watch them do their thing.

It was so impressive to watch them fight the fire with helicopter and plane. The latter, being either crazy, good or both!! Absolutely amazing when he laid down the retardant on his side to get close to the hillside.

I thought you all might appreciate the work they do as well. Thank you.

Props to CDF (convict dependent firefighters!) but that was USFS, and it looked like Helicopter 514 from White Cloud, but could be wrong on that

It was 514 off White Cloud, but the tankers were 88 and 89, CAL Fire out of Grass Valley. It was an FRA fire.

Ya that sure looks like 514. Ive flown on 514 back in the day quite a few times getting dropped off to lightning fires.
