Hi Zakk,
What that really means in the calendar, is that either:
1. no big group is going in (most likely) or
2. the big group does not know about our calendar or didn't post it.

But I suspect you'll be fine.

My club will be there July 18-21. I had the info posted on the 18th, but the calendar doesn't have the feature to span events over days; updated the calendar.

BTW, The trail is closed from July 21 to Augus 4 for Jeepers Jamboree. My group is planning on running the trail both directions, and being back at Loon the night of the 20th.

Just a follow-up, I spoke with the folks at Jeepers Jamboree in order to prevent any issues with my group being on-trail on the 21st. They said as long as we're heading out in the morning hours it shouldn't be an issue.
The actual "Jamboree" is on the weekend. Starting on the 21st is when the crews start packing equipment in, the choppers will be flying stuff in as well.

HTH,
Chris

I changed running my trip to that weekend of the 19th and 20th. I was planning on running in on the 12th and 13th...Auburn Jeep Club will be at the springs and there will be no campsites left.

I'm running a group of Disabled people in from the Tahoe side Sat. morning and camping at the springs. Coming back out on Sun.
There will be around 25 vehicles.

I do not believe they have exclusive permits for the entire time.

See my posts in this thread.

Dan, I think we're reading the county permit differently. Other than night time hours that you noted, it sure seems to me the trail is exclusive to them during normal trail running hours.

I don't see how we can interpret it differently than an a county issued parade pass for exclusive use for two weeks.
