It's too bad you guys had to move your original date from Father's Day to July 11-13.

With 80+ Auburn Jeepers and 30+ Rubicon Scramblers you guys are going to be hating life and so will we.

Where are you going to be camping on Friday Night?

The Scramblers will be a Spider Friday and moving to Rubicon Springs on Saturday. The Auburn Jeep Club will be coming in on Saturday and Driving all the way to Rubicon Springs. So Saturday is going to be hell, especially with the narrow places on the trail between Rubicon Springs and Spider.

Rubicon Scramble Plans

I don't have an issue with the number of people. I just want to make sure we do some coordination. Last year on this weekend the Rubicon Scramble, Auburn Jeepers, Dirty Dozen, San Diego Jeepers, Victor Valley Jeepers, and the Jeep Corporation Stock Rigs came though.

The second day took up to 13 hours to go from Spider Lake to Rubicon Springs. There were a few rigs running backwards, but not more than 3 groups of 3.

The Auburn Jeepers made frequent stops especially at Rock Bound Lake. They completely blocked the trail and didn't let anyone pass. This made for some serious temper flares.

As for camping at Rubicon Springs I know that the Auburn Jeepers have reserved the Main Camp, the Dirty Dozen has reserved the Sandy Flats and the Rubicon Scramble has reserved the slabs in between. This was done through the Jeepers Jamboree and Merlin (the Rubicon Springs Caretaker) is make sure no squaters are jumping in.

There will also be a major traffic jam coming up Cadillac on Sunday as everyone is trying to get out at the same time.

So hopefully we don't have any flaring tempers and some good old fashion coordination between us.

The Rubicon Scramble will be monitoring CB Channel 8. Let us know what channel you will be on so we can talk our ways around each other.

I never camp at the springs, and the group I'm with aprox 44 rigs is coming in 9am friday BACKWARDS, I don't see any big problem with us why some asshats will stop in the middel of the trail for no good reason is beyond me I have my own way of dealing with things, depends on my mood at the time mostly traffic jams don't bother me on the trail

I just got an email back from Terry, organizer of the Getting-off Rubicon Bash run. He said that there is only 12-15 rigs in his group that is coming from East to West.

So since the group has considerably shrunk, I don't think it is going to be such a big deal.

But since they are planning on pushing past Buck Island and camping at Spider, space will be a premium there.

If I remember right with no traffic less then an hour the slab way, and the fun way a lil l;onger going up old sluice or big sluice, I always confuse those 2, but you HAVE TO GO UP BIG SLUICE, it's the best part of the trail!!! I have been up there at least a dozen times and still can't remember the whole trail I'm a AssHattt
