Mosquitos!!!
Is it me or were there a ton more mosquitos in the Springs area. I have literally over 30 mosquito bites on each leg. We couldn't break for longer than 10 minutes before we were saying let's go!!! Everything was fine from slabs to Buck, once down in the springs they just swarmed us. Anyone Have the same problem???
Freakin Mosquitos. Johnny

You need to buy some "Deep Woods Off" the other crap we had just attracted the bastards. This was at Ellis and Sluice.

Yeah, look at the ingredients on the repellent. The higher % of Deet the better.
Two weeks ago they were pretty bad. This last weekend we went up to the Box and back and it wasn't so bad. But on the way out we stopped at Loon at sundown and they were mucho thick.

Mosquitos!!!
Yeah, I couldn't believe how many there were. It was so bad I couldn't even sit still. I would look down on my leg and 5 of them bastards were sucking my leg dry. We went all the way through Sat. 28th, thank god we didn't camp I would have been miserable.

I went through this weekend and camped. I've never been in mosquitos that thick. My repellent was like salad dressing for them. We tried some concentrated stuff, but that didn't work either. I guess I need to try this stuff you guys are talking about.

I heard that taking a good B vitamin (it's the B12?) supplement will turn them off.
A nice swim in the river always made them less attracted to me too. I try not to use those sprays but in the springs, it is bad.

I was up ther in mid June. Those skeaters were so F@#$%^% bad, it made some of the trip unbearable. I ended up going to bed early and jumped in my tent at 8p.m. WATCH OUT FOR THAT DEET!!!!! I got some of the 100% Deet stuff and it actually eats paint. My rubber watch band actually melted a little leaving a black ring around my wrist. Also took the paint off my tube doors were I rested my arms. Paint was then on my arms.EVERYWHERE) DON'T GET IT IN YOUR EYES. I thought I was gonna be blind for a second there. FUN STUFF. GOOD TIMES.
