Rubicon – Our campsite is not in the trail.
My friends and I were woken up at 2:00a.m. by two guys in TJ’s (one might have been a YJ)
We were camped more than 50 yards from the trail, but some yahoo was driving over bushes and came as close as 6 feet from a tent! I gave him directions to get back on the trail, but I was too out of it to get his information. I asked if he was lost, then explained that the trail was not in the bushes. In the morning I could see why he made this mistake. We were camped just past the little sluice. Go down the hill, turn left at the bottom, then the trail turns right. Directly in front of you is a miniature sluice-like squeeze that looks like a trail. This spot could use a bit of blocking. It is very obvious during the day, but at night I could see the mistake. That spot is pretty nice, but I could see this developing into another “bypass”. Just a thought for the next clean up. |

Thanks for pointing it out. In the future, if it is an illegal bypass, you can go ahead and block it
![]() Anyone going up this week willing to tackle this one?

Hi Mark,
I'm doing pretty well. I'm moving a bit slow, but I haven't resorted to Advil yet. I met you on one of the rock gathering runs. I needed a change of pace. -Pete Oh, and this mini-sluice that should be blocked…it would take a bit of work to get something over there to block it. I just thought somebody who makes those judgments should know about it. I don't want the Rubicon to look like an amusement park where you can't drive out of the groove. It isn’t a bypass yet, but it soon could be. It’s right across from a little wet land area. |

and weren't the same people burning a open fire by the Spider Lake the next day? with their Jeep parked in the bushes. The more I think about it, we should have gone and got their lic. plates.
