I was up there this weekend, all I can say is that the easy line around soup bowl is still easy.

My favorite part is that just 100' past that spot is a pile of 4"-6" rocks with more than enough material to fill in that area...

We were there the weekend the work was done and even then it didn't seem to change the trail much. Workers said there was a sediment issue and a trail widening issue this fixed.

I think that is the point. Appease whomever deemed this an issue and leave the trail effectively the same for everyone else.

This. Initially I was upset by the talk of this, but after driving over it, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't been looking. (Unlike the concrete at gatekeeper which is very obvious).
