Georgetown Hotel and Saloon

I've read in the past about what a dump this place was. It was bought last year and the new owners are putting $$$ into renovating the place. I had lunch there yesterday and it's looking great. The new owners want to change the "atmosphere" that it had. Don't hesitate to check it out.

Hi ya Bebe. I'm doing fine. Most recently, I've been looking at the bills that have been submitted to the Calif. legislature concerning our state OHV program. As you may know, the program sunsets (terminates) at the end of this year. If that were to happen, the OHV Grants program could go away and the SVRA's could be converted to regular parks. Over the years, how much OHV Grant money has been used on and near the Rubicon?

Most Excellent question Hefe, If I had time to research it, I'd give the exact # to the penny, since I don't I'll guess about 4.5 million

A few months ago, Emilie and I and the owners of Cool Beerwerx went there and I was able to talk with one of the new owners. He was very excited about the progress and gave us a tour of the entire building, including the attic.

They have spent a BUNDLE to save the hotel. Foundation has been fixed, each and every room has been remodeled and upgraded. The rooms are super nice, but still rustic. Each has its own kind of theme.

The attic...SUPER CREEPY. This is where the brothal was. The plan is to remodel that, for like wedding receptions and such.

And according to the County...including the bridge.....right around 4 million dollars. Bebe was right in the neighborhood.
