The Auburn Jeep Club will be doing their 56th annual Rubicon Run on July 7th, 8th, and 9th. We usually have 75 to 90 rigs. People start gathering on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning we leave Ellis Creek at 7 AM to Rubicon Springs for Diner and tales of the trip around a fire and no host bar, then Sunday everyone leaves the Springs at their own whim and head out Cadillac to Lake Tahoe.

5th annual TTORA Rubicon Run: Monday - Wednesday, July 10th - 12th. Running from Wentworth Springs to Tahoe. About 45-50 rigs. Camping at Rubicon Springs.
The start is in Tahoma at 8am. The runners will proceed along the trail to almost Spider Lake. Then it looks like they turn south and follow the road used to build the dams in the wilderness area.
From Loon Lake capground (near the boatramp) the second leg starts. It's a 65 mile bike ride to Coloma.
Cadillac might be interesting, look for runners.
Wentworth Springs Road road might have lots of cyclists, look out.

I've got a topo that shows a hiking trail right between Spider and Buck Island, west of Big Sluice, that goes south from the Rubicon to the old road for the dams.

I don't know if it is private property but it is the traditional access for hikers to get to the Desolation Wilderness trails that start just east of Buck Island.
July 24-26, maybe 10-12 vehicles for my annual Sierra Carnage expedition.(formerly Sierra Challenge until last year when we ran out of welding wire and spare parts) :shaking:
