Please pm me an e-mail and I will forward the phone conf. link instructions to you. This meeting is regarding route designation for maping and is a part of the FS previous ruling to close all non designated routes to all motorized traffic from what I understand( which aint much)

You don't have to talk at all if you don't want. You can just listen in to the conversation. This is an excellent way for those that can't make these local meetings to stay informed of what is happening on the El Dorado Forest.

Here's the summary I posted on my club's board.

3/14 Meeting Summary:

The draft EIS is a few weeks behind schedule. It was originally scheduled for some time in June but is more likely to be published in the July-August timeframe. In turn, the final EIS will be late, probably November-December.

The interdisciplanary team has taken the significant issues and public comments and met for a week to discuss alternatives to the proposed actions, such as the number of miles of trails to be designated, parking, seasonal closures, and over-the-snow travel. They are still finalizing their wording of the alternatives so Tony didn't reveal many details. He hopes to be able to share that information within the next two conference calls.

He did say he was excited about the alternatives, particularly the alternative for the six-month seasonal closure. Some things they are discussing are various closures based on elevation and triggers. He also said he's 98% certain the six-month seasonal closure, as the Forest Service originally proposed, will be dropped from consideration as it would violate some current laws.

That's about it. There was a pretty small turn-out for this conference call, but Tony said he kind of expected that since there hasn't been much activity for a while.
