Cantina for the Con

Hey everyone

I am sure by now you have either heard or read about Cantina for the Con(http://forum.thisdysfunctional.org/s...ad.php?t=12887). This year I am putting an open invitation out to any club, individual or family that wants to be part of this wonderful event.

We need help in all areas so regardless if you have never helped out at an all volunteer event before or not, we have a spot for you. This is truly a unique event where 100% of everything taken in goes to the Rubicon Trail Foundation.

For more information about the event and volunteering, Join us at

http://forum.thisdysfunctional.org/s...ad.php?t=12887

or on Facebook

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?ei...1443043&ref=ts

Regards
Steve Piazza
Cantina for the con lead

One area we need help with is set-up on Friday morning (9/4) and tear-down on Monday morning (9/6). If you have a club/group that can help, please let me or Steve Piazza know.

Bump! I talked to Steve at Sierra Trek this weekend, and plans are coming together nicely, but they could still use more volunteers and club support... and of course, on that weekend, we need hungry people with cash, and a desire to enter/win multiple snazzy prizes.

Two areas we can always use help with are the Kitchen and the Raffle.

Kitchen is food prep/making the food when it's ordered.

Raffle is selling the tickets/writing the id numbers on the tickets (you must have nice writing for these jobs).
Any help is very welcome and we are always thankful to have you help.

You think you guys could use our help even if we just come for one day(like Sat)? My wife would enjoy helping out with any kitchen related stuff and I could sit back and help watch everyone work. (Just kidding, I'd help as best I can while juggling watching my little kid.)

Also, if someone was in a position to be making a donation to RTF, then maybe this would be a great time to do so, given the raffle and all? When does my check have to be recieved(assuming we either can't make it or won't make it until Sat)?

No reasonable offers of help have ever been turned down! There's always a way to pitch in, whether it is prepping or eating.

This is indeed a fabulous time to make a donation AND get tickets to the drawing in return. Win-win!

IIRC, checks need to be in by Sunday evening.

Heck yes, we could use your help! It doesn't matter when or how long. We'll put you to work.

You can buy tickets on-site until 4:00pm on Sunday. If you send a check, it needs to be in no later than the Wednesday before Labor Day. But really, where's the fun in that...bring the family up and enjoy the weekend

I am going to try and gather my Outkast Group for the event, come up on friday morning to help set up.... Are you guys going to make any runs into spider at all? Or just hang at the spillway?

Thanks,

Ron

Thanks Ron! We're very short handed this year and we could really use the help.

I'm sure some will find time to hit the trail but most of the leads will be at the spillway all weekend.

Sure. I've seen a few side x sides on the trail. We'd love to have you help support the trail
