HFS--agree new thread but maybe not. Those hard working and on foot rock rollers have my FULL respect. that is no easy effort. Am all for the working men and women. let there be no mistake. Let's not overlook those guys and gals. And the chablis sipping invited jeep dealer drivers, well... wish i could be that. Manners work both ways. Time will tell.

RTF and RTP had some details that needed to be spelled out. At this time the written agreement is in RTP's hands and we are waiting for their signature.

What we've been waiting for!!!

At long last Rubicon Trail Foundation and Rubicon Trail Partnership have an agreement to get the RTF property open. We are very pleased that we can make this press release...

RUBICON TRAIL FOUNDATION
Contact: Rusty Folena FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Telephone: 1-888-678-2426
E-mail: Rusty.Folena@RubiconTrailFoundation.org
Placerville, CA

8-29-2015

For Immediate Release

The Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF) is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with the Rubicon Trail Partnership (RTP) with regards to accessing the RTF Property. We would like to thank RTP for working with us through this process. We would also like to thank the public; everyone has been very patient as we work toward access. We look forward to working with RTP and all landowners on the Rubicon, FOTR, and all the Adopt a Trail clubs maintaining access and the health of the Rubicon for everyone to enjoy. More work needs to be done to get the property opened up for everyone to use. Our
first task will be working with RTP and El Dorado County to secure a boundary line adjustment (BLA).

There will be plans forthcoming to work on the access route while the BLA is in progress.

RTF is planning to open the property for public access during the summer of 2016 if all goes well.

Again, the foundation would like to thank everyone for their patience in achieving this long term goal.

Rusty Folena
Property Chair

Awesome news. Thanks to everyone involved. New access available in times like these is unheard of. Way to go
