Are you talking about the air release valve? I have had those go out after just a few uses. Take it off and replace it with a good ball valve.

Noho wheelers. After fighting with all different varieties of those cheap ass brass ones, I put a galvanized 90 on mine and then a small ball valve. Never sticks, always seals and does what it's told.

Alright, at first I thought he was talking about the butterfly valve at the bottom of the tank used to release water/air after use - mine leaks there too. But after Butler's question and the response, I'm no longer sure...

Help with my leaking valve on the bottom of the tank???

a good lever ball valve is the ticket to your problems.

I was talking about the butterfly valve, too. Hobie are you talking about the blow-off? The valve that opens if the pressure gets too high?

Stainless Steel Ball Valves... Go big 1" for quick drain of the tank. Gets the crap out and wont leak like the POS Petcocks.
