I've had my JD2M3 for over 10 years. The last die I bought is a 1.5" by 90*. It dies have the replacable follower bar shoes but did not have the follower bar cinch bolt. If you ever have bent tube before you'd know how nessecary that one bolt is, bending with this set is a two man job now. If all the dies have been revised like this I'll be selling it for a Protools HD105. I'm just pissed cause I had to bend some 1.5" this weekend and it's BS with that die set.
To answer your poll, I can't vote. I've no experience with the Protools bender, only the JD2M3 and my older 180* die sets are awesome.

The M-Tech one is the JD2

We use the pro tools at Cannon Motorsports, but honestly, the JD2 is almost exactly the same. We've used both, but I like th pro tools better, simply because I can get them from pro tools as a cheaper price. Its almost like comparing King to FOX, they are both just as good at the same price.

Both benders work well. I believe the Model 3 is a little less money since it comes standard with a degree ring for $266.50 at trick-tools.com The one thing I like about the JD2 over the pro-tools is the fact that they CNC machine their frames and drill the holes, which gives tighter tolerances for dropping the pins in and out. They also use a new cast steel insert on their follow bars to extend the life of that part. Check them out at model3bender.com!
