Millermatic 250x

I have teh opertunity to buy a millermatic 250x for about $900. Is this a good welder? Worth 900? I have used a 251 and love it, just not a 250. Its a 98 i think.

I sold my 250x and bought a 251 same day. The 250x is a great machine, I liked the arc better on it than the 251. I got $1100, for mine, and it was well used, but taken care of. It was not cash, trade on grading work, so your price sounds about right. I wish I would have kept mine. The biggest differences, are the torch holder, and ease of use with a spool gun. If it is in good shape, I would get it. If it still has the smith regulator, I would recomend removing it, and throwing it as far as you can. I have had nothing but problems with the Smith regulators, threw on away last night.

I'd buy it for that price.
