Does anyone use the mixes that are suggested on WeldReality.com? I am going to get 85%AR-15%CO2 mix. I had a hard time finding a supplier that could get it for me though. It seems that 75-25 is the standard and is all anyone even bothers to carry. I was wondering if anyone has tried both and if there is really an advantage to going with the harder to find 85-15 mix. What do you all use for a mix on Stainless? The Weldreality guy suggests 98%Ar-2%CO2, again not something that my local suppliers seem to stock. You can get 98%AR-2%O2 however.

I use 75/25 on the MIG and straight AR off my TIG for stainless if I need to.

Same here. I never even knew there was 85/15 available.....
I use the straight argon for tigging aluminum too.

I mig with 75% AR 25% CO2 I didn't know you could get 85/15 or 98/2. I hear alot of people mig with 100% CO2 and that is spaters a little more. Anyone mig with 100% AR?

I usually use Unamix 21 or 7. I'll have to check the exact mixture later. Don't know right off hand. Of course, I use straight Argon for the TIG.

I've tried mig welding with 100% argon, and it didnt work. It was on steel though. Maybe there is a use for 100% argon migging???? Maybe spool gunning aluminum?

Ive used the 85-15 mixture, and for the trouble I had finding it, Its much easier, and the results dont vary enough from a regular old 75-25 to make me want to go back and search for it again.
