So, anybody build a offroad tool cart/chest? Where i live, (renting a room) i can only work on my crap in the large back yard, but dont like leaving stuff out. I would like to just have everthing in a cart and wheel it around, posably have my 110welder on a side shelf or something.
anybody have any cool home build or bought off road tool carts?
Shane
Damn, those are cool.
Didnt even think of looking at harbor freight for those wheels. Thanks for the heads up, i see they have them for like5 bucks each
how is the ground in you back yard? is it super rough, hilly, flat, grass, dirt, sand.....
a friends dad races late models and when they go to the track, they take their whole tool chest with them. this isnt a regular tool chest either, its steerable, pnuematic tires, unbelievable how sturdy it is. i'll try to get a pic of this thing, its awesome. they fabbed it themselves, and they have a brake, so bending all the sheets wasnt an issue. i dont know if they tow it with an ATV or just pull it by hand. its dimensions are roughly 4'h x 4'w x 7'l.
Damn that sounds cool. Here are the pics of the one i just built. Sort of lame looking, and not finished yet. but it sure does work well I put the box up high, as i am putting my welder and other crap under it. i think i need more bracing also.
Paranoid - good looking cart, but won't it be top heavy with the box filled? Even with the welder under it?
