My O2 regulator started leaking. Not a big deal as it's older than crap, so I got on ebay and got a used one for about $40. It lasted for a week and started leaking also. My local welding supply says they can be reuilt for $75. Is that worth the time? Can I skip the middle man and send it off myself and save some? Should I just buy a new one?
My experience has been if you buy a good regulator, it will be worth rebuilding.
Rebuilding is usually about 1/2- 2/3 the cost of new. Why buy new when you have good stuff to begin with, but you wore it out?
