this quote in another thread got me thinking and I didnt want to post jack so here goes.
How practical or crazy would this be vs. a big 220v compressor? You put it next to a gas waterheater and share its gas line and exhaust vent. A big ass muffler could keep the noise down.
Possibly cheaper than adding a dedicated 220v circuit for a compressor?
NG is expected to increase 70% in my, Southeast, region.
Also, if this were to be set-up next to a gas water heater, I sure hope you route the exhaust throught the roof/out the side of the house etc. as well.
Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer. Also, what would your homeowner's insurance say about this little modification.
It can be done, easily too. You just need a natural gas "carb" for the current gasoline carb. They make them for briggs and honda, dont know about tecumseh.
