welding aluminum?? help needed

i need to do some panel repair(cracks) on a couple of my old land-rovers. i recall getting instructions years ago for doing this with o/a but no longer have anything. all my reference books are deeeeep in storage so can't get them.
my choices for what I have now are o/a regular size torch, 110 mig(italian brand, forget name, it has a nylon sleve already, but I have already been running steel in it so is that out w/u replacing teh sleeve?
or the third option that i own is a small (read really small dental torch..looks like "the little torch" but instead of regular tips used hypodermic neadles!! i have made up some pretty large tips for this unit.
i also have a meco midget that i know is used for such in the experimental plane industry

thanks for any help

Meco torch?

Check out www.tinmantech.com for video, torch, and other stuff. Yes, have a TIG unit, still want to learn oxy/act on aluminum. Very common on older aircraft and EAA (experimental) folks now.

Kent White always does a demonstration at the EAA convention.

My mistake was to attempt aluminum welding with the wrong glasses, and a (too large) victor torch I've had for years. Made a mess more than anything... just got the MECO, haven't had time to try it. Aircraft building, so I wanted the small torch for 4130 tubing.

Oh... I'm still going nuts trying to even figure out this one:

Good luck!

I think Kent has a stash of the Meco units. I was also under the impression they were NLA, but he had it in stock.

Long term project is a Bearhawk. One builders site is http://mybearhawk.com/

are you just a homebuilder/pilot or an a/p?

Paul(who apprenticed with a/p's through college, but really needs to get some book learning again to get up to speed and get back to finishing up the ratings..
