60 inch throat band saw
Just a heads up for the LA area fabricators. A friend linked this to me last night.( I don't know this seller and have no ties..buyer beware blah blah). Before I moved the shop I had one of these...slightly different model... and mine was a '58.
If you are using a vertical for fab work then you know they can never be big enough or rigid enough. The back side picture shows a dog house..that's just the transmission Dont let the black paint fool you it will wiegh 2000+lbs.He shows the speed as 40-10,800 rpms. Most of the DoAlls that will run that fast wont go that low. You have to make sure of that. They made a lot of friction cutting saws like that. Super fast and friction saws never need to go low. Also make sure the transmission shifts to low gear for sure. Call the serial number in to DoAll, they can tell you exactly how it came new. I got mine from Martin Marietta, and all they used it for was making pallets in the shipping dept. A wood blade can run that fast. Gary http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting |
