I have a ready welder and a MM210. I could just get 2 batteries or is there a way I can hook it up to my MM210 and use it like a spool gun? I am looking on the net right now, but if anyone has done this, let me know how it worked and what you did.
The Ready Welder can also be used as a Spool Gun, by connecting it to a Stick Welder or a conventional MIG machine. It operates from 115 AC volts while plugged into any welding device which might require a Spool Gun, for example, as when welding aluminum.
The RWII Model #10000 is cabled best for battery operation. This model will also connect to all CV (constant voltage) and DC (direct current) output machines.
Remember that aluminum conducts heat REALLY well -- two batteries may not be enough.
I've tried it, with lousy results, but with my limited welding skills, that's not enough of a sampling to say!
