I pay $1.05 a Lb for 44Lb spools of er70s6 at my local airgas. Not really a terrible price. That place you linked has very good prices on silicon bronze wire though, I may have to order a spool...
I called them earlier and no one was there, I`ll call again to talk to them Thanks!
$75 for 44lbs from them or $35 from the other place wow big dfiference.
Do you have a local Airgas? I bought some Hobart Quantum Arc 6 wire. 33 lb roll of .035 was around $54 + tax. You could get Airgas' house brand, Radnor for little over $1 per lb.
I'm getting ready to try out a 44 lb spool of Lincoln wire that is comparable to their Superarc 56 but is $1/lb. Can't remember what the "name" of it was right now. It comes on a wire spool rather than the wood and cardboard, big whoop.
Lot of people reported problems with this wire if it is being used on a welder not made by Lincoln. They think something changed in the wire composition. The older L56 wires worked well, but the current ones do not work well in Millers.
I pay ~60 for it here + tax so including tax and shipping was a deal for me
I have a Lincoln powermig255 so no big deal.
